Grandma's German Potato Salad

Ingredients:

  • cook and set aside
  • in a deep skillet : cook 6 slices bacon until crisp. drain, leaving enough bacon drippings to saute onions. remove from skillet and set aside.
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion. sauteed in bacon drippings until done.
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • cook over low heat until bubbling. remove from heat stir in
  • crumble bacon and slice potatoes. add to hot mixture , stirring carefully.
  • cook for 1 minute , heating thoroughly.

Directions:

  1. This is written just how it was written down, hope it's not too confusing..I always have to think it through before I make it. lol! But it is sooo worth it!
