Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 (15 oz) package golden raisins (2 1/2 cups)

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add lemon juice and eggs.
  3. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in raisins.
  5. Roll into 1-inch balls.
  6. Place on greased baking sheets; flatten with a floured fork.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
