Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Brown ground beef. Drain.
  2. In olive oil cook onion till transparent. Add garlic to onion and just heat through.
  3. In a dutch oven add whole tomatoes (break into pieces), tomato paste, onion and garlic, ground beef, salt, pepper, basil, bay leaf and oregano. Simmer 1 hour until sauce thickens. Remove bay leaf.
  4. Cook lasagna noodles. Drain and rinse.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. Grease 13 x 9 pan with olive oil.
  7. Layer as follows:.
  8. On bottom place one layer of noodles,.
  9. Spread 1/2 ricotta cheese.
  10. 1/3 of sauce.
  11. 1/2 of mozzarella cheese.
  12. 1/3 of parmesean cheese.
  13. Repeat.
  14. Layer of noodles.
  15. 1/3 of sauce.
  16. 1/3 of parmesean.
  17. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
  18. Stand 10 minutes at room temp before cutting.
