Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 tbsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tbsp groud savory
  • 1/2 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tbsp dried rosemary
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • small amount of cornmeal

Directions:

  1. 1. Mix all the herbs together and place half in the bread machine with the rest of the ingredients and save half for the top of the bread. and then put the rest of above ingredients except the cornmeal in the bread machine according to your manufacturers instructions. I also place my salt in with the liquid.
  2. 2. when the dough cycle is complete remove the dough and punch down on to a lightly floured surface and cut in two and shape into oval shapes and place on a a baking sheet sprinkled lightly with cornmeal. and brush each loaf with olive oil and make cuts in the top of the loaf and sprinkle with the rest of the herbs Cover and let rise for about 20 minutes and then bake in a preheated oven at 450 degrees F for about 20 minutes
