Fishpatties With Sweet Peppersauce

  1. Slice the cucumber lenghtwise with a peeler in thin long strips, sprinkle with a little salt and let rest.
  2. Clean limes shred 1 ts of the skin and press the juice out.
  3. Cut fish in pieces and mash with llime rind, egg, flour, garlic and onion till you have a smooth paste , taste with pepper and salt, take paste out of the blender.
  4. Add parsley and 1/2 of the spring onion slices to the paste and mix, form with wet hands 8 patties.
  5. Cut pepper in long thin strips, if you want the sauce hot use the seeds, if not throw seeds away.
  6. Bring ginger syrup to a boil add pepper strips and cook 10 min on low heat, close heat , add lime juice and mix.
  7. Heat oil in a frying pan and bake patties 5 min on each side till done.
  8. Dry cucumber slices with kitchen paper and put on 4 plates, put 2 patties on each plate and top with the rest of the spring onion, serve with sweet pepper sauce.
