  1. In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients.
  2. In a saucepan or frying pan, heat 2 in. of oil to 375°. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls, 4 or 5 at a time, into hot oil. Fry 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
  3. Yield: about 24 puffs.
