Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1 stick
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/8 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt. Cut in the butter and blend with a pastry blender until mixture looks like coarse bread crumbs, then add the other ingredients. Stir only until combined. Toss the dough in a little flour and pat it down with hands, do not roll it. When it's 1/2 thick cut into biscuits and place on lightly greased pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes in a hot oven of 450*. When they are light and golden, they are perfect. Makes 8 large, 15 medium or 24-30 little biscuits.
