  1. Dissolve the baking soda in the buttermilk.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients together well.
  3. Add baking soda/buttermilk to mixture and mix well.
  4. Place into two small loaf pans.
  5. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 hours.
