Easy Crock Pot Apple Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 2 (21 oz) cans apple pie filling (i use no sugar added pie filling as the sugar from the cake mix makes this dessert very sweet)
  • 1/2-1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 (8 1/2 oz) package yellow cake mix
  • 1/3 cup walnuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Place pie filling in slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
  3. Combine dry cake mix and butter in a separate bowl (will be crumbly) and drop spoonfuls over filling.
  4. Sprinkle with 1/3 cup chopped walnuts if you desire.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 3-3/2 hours.
