Decadent Sausage and Cheese Quiche (Makes 2)

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brush pies shells with egg yolk and bake 10 minutes, according to package directions.
  3. Saute sausage and onions together until sausage is browned. Drain well.
  4. Combine eggs, milk, and nutmeg.
  5. Arrange layers. Sausage mixture, Swiss cheese then cheddar cheese in pie shells.
  6. Repeat layers.
  7. Pour egg mixture over all.
  8. Bake in the 350 degree preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  9. Combine Parmesan cheese and paprika.
  10. Sprinkle over quiches.
  11. Bake 15 minutes longer.
  12. Remove them from oven and let them (stand/rest) for 10 minutes before slicing.
