Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. -Mix margarine and 1 cup sugar in bowl.
  2. - Combine soda and water
  3. -Mix flour & soda mixture.
  4. - Add rolled oats
  5. -Incorporae butter and sugar mixture, set aside
  6. -in pot put dates, water and remaining sugar.
  7. Bring to a boil until thick.
  8. -Butter pan
  9. -Separate rolled oats mixture in half
  10. -Pack half of the rolled oats in bottom of pan-
  11. Spread date mixture onto oats
  12. -Cover with remaining rolled oats
  13. Cook 350F for 25 minutes approx
