Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cut together flour, shortening and salt until it resembles small peas.
  2. Combine the egg, water and vinegar and gradually add to flour mixture.
  3. Stir just until moistened.
  4. Roll out.
  5. Combine sugar, flour, butter, lemon zest, cinnamon, allspice and cloves in a food processor.
  6. Process until well blended.
  7. Spread the sugar mixture over an unbaked pie crust.
  8. Arrange apple and quince slices, in an overlapping pattern.
  9. Spread the confectioner sugar.
  10. Bake on 400 degrees for 40-50 minutes, until crust is lightly browned (heat and timing are basing it on convection oven).
  11. Serve hot, warm, or at room temperature.
