Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Thoroughly beat eggs.
  3. Add milk and melted butter.
  4. Sift together flour and salt.
  5. Gradually beat in flour/salt mixture and sugar.
  6. Generously grease deep glass baking cups or muffin tin.
  7. Set cups in a shallow baking pan.
  8. Pour batter into cups filling them about 1/2 full for tall popovers.
  9. Bake in oven 50 minutes to 1 hour.
  10. Depending on size, popovers should be high, crusty and well browned when thoroughly baked.
