Ingredients:

  • 2 oz butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 (2 oz) packet instant milk , dessert
  • 2 cups milk

Directions:

  1. Put the biscuits into a deep bowl or a clean polythene bag and crush them into crumbs with a rolling pin or wooden spoon. Melt the butter in a saucepan over a very low heat (do not let it brown or burn), then stir in the sugar and biscuit crumbs and mix well. Press this mixture into a greased deep pie plate, pie dish or baking tin (6-7 inches/15-18cm in diameter), spreading round to make a flan case (there is no cooking, so it does not have to be an ovenproof dish).
  2. Put the flan in a cold place to cool. Make up the instant flavoured milk dessert with the milk as instructed on the packet. Whisk with a whisk, mixer, or fork. Leave for a minute so that it partly sets. Pour into the biscuit crust and smooth the top. Leave it in a cool place or fridge for a few minutes to set.
