Crock Pot Sweet and Sour Cabbage

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Shred cabbage and place in crock pot.
  2. Quarter and core unpeeled apples, cut into thin slices and add to cabbage.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients, except cornstarch, and pour over cabbage.
  4. Cover and cook on low setting 5-6 hours or longer.
  5. Turn setting to high.
  6. Dissolve cornstarch in small amount of cold water and stir into cabbage mixture.
  7. Cook 10 minutes longer or until mixture is thickened.
