Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease nine-inch pan. Combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in the milk, oil and egg. Mix just until moistened. Pour into pan and bake for 25 minutes. Spread honey on top of bread while hot.
