Cinnamon Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F; grease a 9x9x2 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium sauce pan melt butter over low heat.
  3. Whisk in sugar and water.
  4. Whisk in eggs, oil, and vanilla until combined.
  5. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and chile pepper or cayenne.
  6. Stir in chocolate.
  7. Pour batter into pan and bake for 23 to 25 minutes until a wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes then remove from pan to wire rack.
  9. Brush with hot coffee, then cool completely.
  10. Cut into bars and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar or cinnamon sugar.
