Ingredients:

  • 7 -8 small turnips, peeled
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 5 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Trim the top and bottom off the turnip. Make thin criss-cross diagonal incisions from the top almost all the way through to the bottom, so as to create the petals of a chrysanthemum.
  2. Soak the turnips in 1 cup of warm salted water until soft. Rinse and gently squeeze out water.
  3. Combine the vinegar and sugar. Marinate the turnip and the red pepper in the vinegar for at least an hour.
