Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup. sugar
  • 1 cup. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking opwder
  • 2 tsp cocoa
  • 1/2 cup. milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • topping
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cup. water or coffee

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350
  2. In a 9 square pan, sift sugar, flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa
  3. Stir in milk, melted butter and vanilla
  4. Spread across pan
  5. Mix topping sugars and cocoa together
  6. Sprinkle over batter
  7. Pour water or coffee over all
  8. Bake 45 minutes, or until topsprings back when lightly touched
  9. ** NOTE** Let it cool a little while, even though you will be tempted to cut immediately! lol THAT FILLING IS hot! thickens to a more pudding-ish consistency as it cools. A tad heavy-handed on the water/coffee will result in a more liquid filling, like lava-cake. A tad shy will give you a thicker filling.
