Ingredients:

  • 1 cup. sifted gold medal flour
  • 1/2 cup. butter
  • 3 tbsps. confectioner's sugar
  • 1 cup. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 cup. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup. coconut

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. With hands, mix 1 cup flour, butter and confectioner's sugar until smooth.
  3. Spread thin with fingers in square pan, 8 x 8 x2 inch.
  4. Bake about 25 minutes.
  5. Stir all remaining ingredients into eggs.
  6. Spread over top of baked cookie base (no need to cool.)
  7. Bake about 25 minutes more.
  8. Cool, cut in 3 x 1 inch bars.
  9. Makes 20 bars.
