Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350*.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, oats and brown sugar.
  3. Cut in shortening until crumbly.
  4. Press into a 9 x 13 pan, and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Beat eggs, brown sugar and almond extract thoroughly.
  6. In a separate cup, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  7. Add to the egg/sugar mixture and blend well.
  8. Stir in the coconut, cherries and pecans.
  9. Spread evenly over crust.
  10. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly brown.
  11. Cool completely before icing.
  12. Beat all icing ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
  13. Spread or over the baked mixture.
  14. Cut into squares.
