  1. Heat oil in pan.
  2. Fry lentils, onions and grated carrot gently, until onion is softened.
  3. Add water and tomato puree (paste).
  4. Bring to a boil Turn down to a simmer and cook for about 20 minutes.
  5. Season and serve with bread.
