Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/8 cup honey
  • 1/8 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/8 cup rum
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions:

  1. Melt the butter with the olive oil in a small sauce pan, saute the onions until they are translucent.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients, and stir until the sauce thickens.
  3. Serve warm over fish or chicken.
