Caramel Krispy Bars

  1. Combine cereal and peanuts in large mixing bowl and set aside
  2. Melt caramels in saucepan with water
  3. When smooth, quickly but gently stir in to cereal mixture
  4. Spread into buttered 9x13 pan
  5. Sprinkle chips on top
  6. Bake at 250-300 until chips are soft and shiny
  7. Spread chips to form icing
  8. Allow to cool until icing forms a semi-hard candy shell.
