Candis Hammy Potato Soup

Ingredients:

  • 4 to 6 medium to large potatoes
  • 1 small turkey ham
  • 1 can milk
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 gallon milk
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Dice potatoes and chop onion
  2. Place in large pot and add water just to cover
  3. Drop in 2 bouillons
  4. Add butter adn bring to a boil
  5. Dice turkey ham (if not using already diced ham)
  6. When potatoes come to a boil, add ham
  7. Continue to boil until potatoes are done
  8. Add can milk, stirring
  9. Fill rest of pot with milk (may take more or less depending on pot size)
  10. Add salt and pepper to taste
  11. Let simmer until soup is hot, but not boiling
  12. **sometimes I use 1 pint of whipping cream instead of can milk for a richer, creamier soup**
