Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Crush the garlic clove, cover with the extra virgin olive oil, seal and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Puree the anchoies with a mortar and pestle OR food processor.
  3. Combine lemon juice, Worcestershire, pepper and anchovies.
  4. Tear romaine into a salad serving bowl.
  5. Pour garlic and oil mixture over the greens.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Break the egg into the salad (or omit the raw egg, if you choose!).
  8. Mix well.
  9. Pour lemon mixture over the salad.
  10. Mix well.
  11. Add croutons, to taste, and the grated Parmesan cheese.
  12. Mix well again and serve.
