Braised Green Beans Potatoes and Pork Chops

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Rinse pork chops under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Rub chops with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon black pepper. Rub 1 tablespoon minced garlic over both sides of chops.
  2. Place remaining oil into a hot braising pan. Add pork chops and sear on both sides 1-2 minutes per side or until they are brown. Do not over crowd the braising pan.
  3. Remove chops, place on a plate and set aside.
  4. Add diced onion to braising pan and saute' for 2-3 minutes. Add remaining minced garlic and saute' for a minute.
  5. Add white wine and reduce wine by one-half.
  6. Add ham stock, chops and bring to a full boil. Cover braising pan and reduce to a slow simmer for 30 minutes.
  7. Wash green beans, trim beans and medium dice potatoes.
  8. Wash and dry fresh herbs. Place fresh herbs into cheesecloth and tie-off with a string. Place Sachet into braising pan. Season with remaining salt and pepper. Add green beans, potatoes and cover braising pan. Braise for about 20-25 minutes or until beans and potatoes are tender.
  9. Remove Sachet from braising pan and discard.
  10. Serve Brasied Green Beans in warm bowls garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
