Ingredients:

  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • 1 (15 oz) garbganzo beans
  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1 and 1/2 tbsp of tahini paste (sesame seed paste - i like krinos)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Directions:

  1. Drain black beans leaving 2 tablespoons reserved liquid.
  2. In a food processor or blender, add black beans, garlic, lemon juice, tahini, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper and blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Add additional seasoning and liquid to taste.
  4. Spread the hummus into a flat serving dish and garnish with paprika and Greek olives.
