Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup black beans
  • 3/4 cup lentils
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 yellow onion , large
  • 1 green pepper , medium
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup brown rice

Directions:

  1. Soak black beans and lentils overnight in water.
  2. Boil black beans and lentils in 3 cup water, put in bay leaf.
  3. Remove bay leaf and drain beans.
  4. Cook 1/2 cup brown rice, set aside.
  5. Cook 1 tbsp olive oil, garlic, green pepper, and yellow onion in pan. sautée until onion is translucent.
  6. In a food processor, mix all ingredients together. hand press into 6 patties, and cook with olive oil in the same pan you cooked the garlic and green pepper in.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
