Ingredients:

  • 3 cup. self-rising flour (sifted or unsifted)
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 12- oz bottle or can of beer, room temperature

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix flour and sugar. Pour in beer and mix well. Batter will be slightly stiff. Put into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour. Serve warm.
  3. Note: Unsifted flour gives a chewier texture. Well-sifted flour gives and more cake-like texture.
