Basmati Rice With Nuts And Dried Fruit

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Soak rice in water to cover for 30 minutes then drain well.
  2. Heat saucepan over medium heat then add oil and onion and cook 1 minute.
  3. Add ginger, garlic, chilies, garam masala, salt and pepper the cook 10 seconds
  4. Add rice and cook stirring until mixture is well coated with oil about 1 minute.
  5. Add broth and bring to a boil then cook uncovered over medium heat.
  6. Continue cooking until liquid drops to level of rice then cover and simmer on low 15 minutes.
  7. Remove rice to serving platter and sprinkle apricots, nuts, raisins, onion and coconut over top.
  8. Serve with plum sauce on the side.
