Directions:

  1. Combine vanilla wafers and melted butter (1/2 stick) and press into bottom of lg. rectangle pyrex pan.
  2. Combine 1/2 stick melted butter, pwd. sugar, egg, vanilla and beat for 5 min. Pour over crumb crust.
  3. Sprinkle with ch. nuts. Layer bananas on top. Spread pineapple on top of bananas.
  4. Cover with lg. tub of Cool-Whip.
  5. Garnish with nuts and mar. cherries. Refrig. overnight.
