Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the wine, water, sugar and ginger. Bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until reduced to .5 cup. It will take about 15 minutes.
  3. Melt the butter in a saute pan. Add bananas, cut side down. Add five spice and cook until golden brown - about 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat. Transfer to a bowl and pour the hot syrup onto the bananas and gently toss.
  5. Let stand at least 10 minutes.
