  1. Grease twelve 2 1/2-inch muffin cups. Set muffin cups aside.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl stir together flour, baking powder, thyme, and salt. Make a well in the center of dry mixture.
  3. In another medium mixing bowl combine eggs, milk, and oil. Add all at once to the dry mixture. Stir just until moistened (batter should be lumpy). Fold in crumbled bacon and walnuts.
  4. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each almost full. Bake in a 400F oven about 20 minutes or until golden. Cool in muffin cups on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Remove muffins from muffin cups. Serve Warm.
