Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Peel artichokes down to softer inner leaves cut off bottom stem and dark greeen top, slice in half.
  2. They will turn a little brown.
  3. But do not worry.
  4. The color goes away when they cook.
  5. Throw in 5 quart pot add 4 qts water, 2 Tbl salt and lemon juice bring to boil, cook 4 minutes more.
  6. Drain.
  7. Heat skillet with oil add garlic and almonds, stir a few seconds.
  8. Add artichokes.
  9. Sprinkle salt, saute 5 minutes.
  10. Place in serving bowl, sprinkle parmigan cheese on top.
  11. Serve.
