Ingredients:

  • 12 cups fresh uncooked corn cut from cob (do not scrape cob)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup salt

Directions:

  1. Put cut corn in a large pot
  2. Add sugar and salt, cover with water and boil for 20 minutes.
  3. Pour off brine water, and cover with cool water and let sit on the back of the stove for a little while.
  4. When ready to serve, pour off water and a little milk
  5. This is really a lot of corn, it just calls for canning! So, put in quart jars and process in a hot bath for canning. I would leave out the milk until you are ready to heat up for dinner. (Thanks Henrie!)
