Applesauce Nut Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • cream 1/3 cup soft butter and 2/3 cup sugar. beat until smooth, fluffy and no longer grainy
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup applesauce

Directions:

  1. Mix together dry ingredients
  2. Add eggs one at a time to creamed butter mixture
  3. Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce
  4. Mix well after each addition
  5. Stir in chopped nuts
  6. Pour into greased loaf pan
  7. Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done
  8. Best if baked a day before serving
