Amish Country Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:

  • amish country pumpkin bread
  • 3 1/2 cup. flour
  • 2/3 cup. water
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. salt (scant)
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. each: cinnamon , allspice and nutmeg
  • 2/3 cut chopped nuts optional

Directions:

  1. ===============================================
  2. Mix sugar, oil and eggs together.
  3. Add pumpkin.
  4. Then add dry ingredients,
  5. (nuts last)
  6. And finally water, stirring just until mixed.
  7. Pour batter into two (2) greased
  8. And floured 9x5 inch loaf pans.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for one (1) hour.
  10. Especially good spread with cream cheese.
  11. Also delicious with a Cream cheese frosting or glaze
