Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup dark cocoa
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F
  2. Grease and flour large round baking pan.
  3. In large bowl, mix in the brown sugar, dark baking cocoa, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
  4. Add eggs, oil, vanilla and milk; mix at medium speed for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Stir in boiling water by hand.
  6. Pour into prepared pan.
  7. Bake 30-40 minutes until wooden pick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes, remove from pan to wire racks.
