Ingredients:

  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup dripping (from the roasting pan)

Directions:

  1. Sift together the flour and the salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the milk, water and eggs.
  3. Beat the mixture until smooth.
  4. Cover the bowl and let stand at room temperature for 2 hours.
  5. Pour the beef drippings into a shallow 10x15-inch baking dish.
  6. Place in a preheated 450 degree F oven for 10 minutes.
  7. Stir the batter again and pour into the baking dish.
  8. Bake 15 minutes.
  9. Reduce the heat to 350 degree F and bake 20 to 30 minutes, until the pudding is puffed and golden.
