Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cup lentils
  • 4 1/2 cup broth
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp margarine
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cilantro

Directions:

  1. Boil dal
  2. Make ginger, garlic, chili paste
  3. Melt margaine & splutter jeera
  4. Add onions and saute
  5. Add paste, salt, turmeric, dal
  6. Cook 5 mins
  7. Add tomatoes
  8. Garnish w/ cilantro
