everyday dal use tover or toor dal and 1/4 - 1/2 c moong dal
Ingredients:
1 1/4 c lentils
4 1/2 c broth
1 large onion
1 large tomato
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp garlic
1 tsp margarine
1 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp turmeric
1 t cilantro
Directions:
1. boil dal
2. make ginger, garlic, chili paste
3. melt margaine & splutter jeera
4. add onions and saute
5. add paste, salt, turmeric, dal
6. cook 5 mins
7. add tomatoes
8. garnish w/ cilantro
