Wet-bottom Shoo-fly Pie

Ingredients:

  • make the pie crusts (2) and prepare the shells according to recipe.
  • liquid
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Mix all liquid ingredients in medium bowl.
  2. Divide liquid ingredients in half.
  3. Place in bottom of pie shells.
  4. Mix all crumb ingredients together in medium bowl.
  5. Divide crumbs in half and sprinkle on top of liquid.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, or until pie springs back when lightly touched.
  7. Cool before serving.
