Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup plus 1 1/2 tsp shortening
  • 6 to 7 tbsp cold water

Directions:

  1. Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. With a fork, gradually stir in enough cold water to moisten dry ingredients. Shape pastry dough into a ball.
