Swiss Cheese Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup (4 oz) shredded swiss cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; whisk in flour until smooth. Cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute. Gradually whisk in 2 cups milk; cook over medium heat, whisking constantly until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
  2. Add shredded Swiss cheese, salt, and pepper, stirring until cheese melts.
