Sweet-Sour Pork 'n' Onions

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 medium onions , cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp cold water

Directions:

  1. Trim fat from pork chops -
  2. Cook pork in 10 nonstick skillet over medium heat, turning once, until brown; drain -
  3. Arrange onions on pork -
  4. Mix wine, vinegar, sugar and cloves; pour over onions and pork -
  5. Heat to boiling; reduce heat -
  6. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until pork is tender -
  7. Remove pork and onions; keep warm -
  8. Skim any fat from the liquid in skillet -
  9. Mix cornstarch and water; gradually stir into liquid -
  10. Heat to boiling; stirring constantly -
  11. Boil and stir 1 minute -
  12. Serve sauce over pork and onions - .
