Sweet Potato Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium yam, peeled and sliced
  • 6 slices bacon, cut in small pieces
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp diced onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley

Directions:

  1. In casserole dish alternately lay slices of potatoes and yams.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In small pan melt butter.
  4. Add bacon and onion.
  5. Saute for 5 minutes.
  6. Add brown sugar, spices, and milk.
  7. Stir until dissolved.
  8. Pour over potatoes.
  9. Place foil on top of casserole and bake at 375 degree for 45 minutes.
