Sugared Spiced Nuts

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 1/2 cups whole almonds

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together everything but nuts.
  3. Add the nuts and stir until coated well.
  4. Spread evenly onto a greased cookie sheet or baking pan.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes or so.
  6. Spread out on waxed paper to cool.
  7. Store in a zipper bag or airtight container.
