Stuffed Round Steak

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs round steaks
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sage
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 4 -6 tbsp oil
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz) can mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup water

Directions:

  1. Pound steak to flatten.
  2. Lightly cook onion and celery in butter
  3. Until golden.
  4. Add bread cubes, seasonings, parsley and water.
  5. Cut meat into 4 pieces
  6. Spread meat with dressing mixture.
  7. Roll up
  8. Fasten with toothpicks.
  9. Roll in flour.
  10. Brown in hot oil.
  11. Dilute soup with 1 cup of water.
  12. Pour over meat.
  13. Cover
  14. Simmer over low heat for 1 hour 30 minutes.
