Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Cut off the hard ends of the figs.
  3. Cut a hole in each fig and insert a piece of chocolate, an almond and 2 fennell seeds. Press together to seal.
  4. Place on a cookie sheet lined with foil or parchment.
  5. Bake until they take on a light coloring, about 10 minutes. (Check after 5 to be on the safe side.)
  6. After they cool, put into a container with the bay leaves, cloves and cinnamon sticks for at least two weeks so that the figs can absorb the aromas or skip this step and just enjoy them as they are.
